You’ve Got A Lot To Give (Part 2)

kyle_ssi_009It was not long ago that I posted “You’ve Got A Lot To Give”, but since then the subject has come up more than once; “How can I give if I’m broke and just getting by?”

Good question.

Luckily for you I have a great answer! As someone who has had his share of lean times, let me first say that giving is an attitude. It is a way of being. Once you get in the flow, you will see soon enough what I’m talking about. The first step is that I want you to say out loud, “I am a giver and I am going to be giving today!”

Be conscious of yourself and what you are doing, and look for ways to give. The easiest ways are things like holding a door for someone, a pleasant smile, a hug, warmly greet someone, give someone your complete attention. Once you start looking, the opportunities will appear. You are going to have to help someone out now. If someone says “Thank you!”, you respond, “I am grateful!” or “I am grateful to be able to help!” This is good.

Now, another way that recently came to me is actually sort of connected with the first step in any course you will take on attracting abundance. They all tell you to clean out your space. Get rid of anything that you don’t use. This is the perfect opportunity to be giving!

You may have clothes, or dishes, or who knows what all just sitting around being unused. There just may be someone you know who would love to have this stuff. I have been on both ends of this, and trust me, it is awesome to give someone something they really want and will use, and it is nice to receive something I really want and use.

This is the perfect way to “kill two birds with one stone”! Clean out your space, and give the things away. Don’t forget to be conscious of your giving and receiving. It is important to say “Thank you” and “You are very welcome”.
