The silence is the only truth I have found. All words are relevant to different situations, and what is true for you, may not be true for me. What is true today may not be true tomorrow. OSHO says “My words are just fingers pointing at the moon”.

The mind is a dead end. Only the silence knows silence.
Everything we know flows, moves, changes, only the silence never moves. Time does not exist in the silence. The silence just “is”. The silence just “knows”.

As the observer, the watcher, the one who knows that the mind is busy, begin more and more to just watch it, without getting involved in the thoughts. Find a focus exercise. I use breathing. Just sit and breath in and out of your nose, and count the breaths. Notice how fast you lose your place! The mind will take over, but after a few moments you will notice. You will become aware, and this is the greatest thing that can happen. Why? Because YOU see it! YOU are who we are looking for. Practice, be diligent. 25 breaths. By the time you can count 25 breaths without being distracted by your mind, you will be amazed at how much more “centered” you feel. You will notice that there seems to be two of you, the mind, and YOU. The mind isn’t YOU. When you can quiet the mind, YOU can be quiet too. Then the stillness is there. We don’t do anything to reach the stillness, we stop doing things to reach the stillness. Let everything rest.
