Hooray!!! I only have one more class to finish, and I will get a bachelor’s degree as a “Holistic Health Practitioner” from the Yogananda Institute! The final class is in Holistic Business, and I will take that this year.
I am certified to teach AKASH, which is Ancient Keys to Achieving Success and Happiness. I am also certified in Reiki, meditation, and chakra work. I have also been certified in music healing, and have been through a few other classes such as “Attracting Abundance”.
The most ironic thing to me about all this is that the first lesson is “I do not do the healing”. I practice the healing arts, I work in healing, but there is no way possible that I could heal. “God doeth the works” is one of our motto’s at Yogananda Institute.
It took a while for me to understand this, and the understanding came with experience in working with others. The more people who came to me, both in person and long distance, the more I saw that just as in life, I cannot change anyone or heal anyone. People are at their own place in the evolution, and sometimes people are ready enough to seek my help, but not really ready enough to take it.
My job is to observe, listen, and learn. My job is to constantly work on my own spiritual program and growth. My job is to maintain my meditation practice and remain open to SPIRIT at all times.
More than one time, someone has been “healed” or “cured” simply because I listened carefully and then repeated back to them what they said to me. This was all that was needed for great changes to occur in their lives.
Yesterday I saw a miracle. It was someone who did a few sessions with me last year, and quite simply, they are not the same person anymore. If I didn’t know, I wouldn’t even know her. Her energy field, her presence, her perception, her entire being has changed so much, that I just wanted to sit in the floor and cry in awe.
I didn’t change her or heal her. I simply was the facilitator for her change. She was busting at the seams and her change was coming. I am simply grateful to have been there and to have observed. No matter how many times I have experienced it myself, and no matter how many times I witness it, it is still very important for me to see that with my own eyes that PEOPLE CAN CHANGE.
You may not believe it, but you can change too, and in my belief system, you will change even if you try your hardest not to. I have changed too, and tremendously. Sometimes I lose sight of how much I have changed for the positive and focus on all the ways I’d still like to change. This means I focus on the negative and so as a result, I don’t feel very good.
So today I am grateful to the Great Spirit. I am witness to the Works.
